Use this list after you have created your organization. You need to be an Organization Admin or Super Admin. Steps marked Core need the Core plan or higher.

Day 1: your organization#

  1. Finish the setup wizard. If your dashboard shows Finish setting up your organization, select it and complete the Organization, Location and Primary contact steps. See Set up your organization with the setup wizard.
  2. Check your timezone and logo. Open Organization settings → Organization. Every module, including Mosque TV and reminders, uses this one timezone. See Organization details, logo, timezone and terminology.

Day 2: your team#

  1. Invite the people who help run your organization. Open Organization settings → User Access and choose Grant Access. See Give someone sign-in access.
  2. Make sure you have a second Super Admin. At least one Super Admin must always remain, and only a Super Admin can grant Super Admin. See Roles and permissions.

Day 3: your people#

  1. Create your divisions (for example Brothers, Sisters, Youth) in Organization settings → Divisions. See Manage divisions.
  2. Bring in your contacts. Add people one by one, or upload a spreadsheet with People → Bulk Import. See Import people from a spreadsheet.
  3. Create a signup link so members and volunteers can add themselves. See Public signup links.

Day 4: your prayer hall screen#

  1. Set up prayer times and turn on Mosque TV. See Set up Mosque TV for the first time.
  2. Connect your TV. See Pair a Mosque TV screen.

Day 5: day-to-day work (Core)#

  1. Committees — create your committees and add members and tasks. See Committees, members and tasks.
  2. Volunteers — record volunteer interests, skills and availability. See Volunteer profiles, skills and availability.
  3. Notifications — review the automation rules and decide how email and text messages should go out. See Notifications and automation rules and Email and SMS delivery settings.

Good to know#

  • Nothing on the Free plan needs a payment. You can upgrade later from Organization settings → Plan & Billing. See NizamOS plans and pricing.
  • The dashboard's Get started card on the Free plan links to People, Divisions, Mosque TV and User Access.
