Email and SMS delivery settings
Switch on NizamOS email and texting for your organization, set the sender name and reply-to address, or send through your own GoHighLevel account.
On this page
Organization settings → Communications decides how your notifications reach people by email and by text message. In-app notifications always work. Email and SMS need the Core plan or higher, and only Organization Admins and Super Admins can change these settings.
The two channels#
The page shows an Email card and a Text messages (SMS) card. Each shows who delivers it (NizamOS or GoHighLevel) and a status:
- Active — messages are being sent.
- Not switched on — NizamOS can send them, but nothing goes out until you switch it on.
- Being set up or Testing — NizamOS is still preparing it; messages wait in the queue.
- Awaiting a number — texting needs your organization's own texting number first.
Switch on NizamOS email or texting#
- Open Organization settings → Communications.
- On the card, choose Switch on NizamOS email or Switch on NizamOS texting.
Only messages created from that moment on are sent. Anything already waiting in the queue is never sent, so old reminders don't go out late. The card then shows when it was switched on.
Email sender details#
When NizamOS sends your email:
- Under Email sender details, enter the Sender name people see. Emails show it as your name "via NizamOS".
- Optionally enter a Reply-to email (optional). Replies go there. If you leave it blank, emails say replies aren't monitored.
- Choose Save sender details.
The sending address stays NizamOS's own verified address so your messages reach inboxes.
Text messages#
NizamOS gives each organization its own texting number, and texts come from that number. Texts go only to people who agreed to receive them from your organization, and anyone can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for information. To buy SMS credit or request your number, choose SMS credit, monthly package & phone number. See SMS credit, packages and your texting number.
Using GoHighLevel instead#
Organizations that already use GoHighLevel can send email and SMS through it instead of NizamOS. The GoHighLevel section at the bottom of the Communications page shows whether your organization is connected; choose Manage GoHighLevel for its settings. Once it is connected, set Send email through and Send SMS through to GoHighLevel and choose Save. Messages sent through your own GoHighLevel account don't count against your NizamOS email allowance.
Good to know#
- Each plan includes a number of NizamOS emails a month: 1,000 on Core and 2,500 on Complete. See NizamOS plans and pricing.
- Replies to someone's own request or registration are always sent, even after your monthly email allowance is used up.
- The Delivery box on the Notifications page shows each channel's status too.
- See also Email or SMS notifications not sending.
