Dashboard and Needs Attention
What the dashboard shows, and how Needs Attention finds follow-ups across programs, committees, meetings and volunteering.
On this page
The Dashboard is the first page you see when you open your organization. Needs Attention is a follow-up list that collects things a person should look at. Needs Attention is part of the Core plan.
The dashboard#
The dashboard greets you and shows counts for your organization, such as People, Active Programs, Active Committees, Active Volunteers and this month's Attendance. Below that you'll find:
- Needs Attention — the open follow-up items, grouped by priority, with Open Needs Attention.
- Upcoming Activities — the next scheduled program sessions.
- Recent Program Sessions — sessions with attendance marked most recently.
- Committee Tasks — open tasks, soonest due first, with overdue ones marked.
- Volunteer Requests — open requests, soonest event first.
On the Free plan, the dashboard shows a Get started card instead, with links to People, Divisions, Mosque TV and User Access. What you see also depends on your role.
Needs Attention#
Needs Attention runs simple, fixed checks. It never sends anything to anyone; it only lists what a person should follow up. The checks look for:
- Programs: 3 consecutive absences, no session in 30 days, attendance incomplete.
- Committees: task overdue, task due soon, open tasks but no meeting.
- Meetings: poll not answered, meeting attendance incomplete.
- Volunteers: invitation unanswered, not enough accepted, date approaching with spots unfilled.
Work through the list
- Open the dashboard and choose Open Needs Attention.
- An Organization Admin or Super Admin chooses Run checks to look for new items.
- Select an item to open it. Set its Status (Open, In Progress or Resolved) and who it is Assigned to, then choose Save.
- Add Internal notes so others know what was done.
Good to know#
- The checks run only when someone selects Run checks; they are not scheduled.
- Use the Status, Priority and Type filters to narrow the list. By default it shows open and in-progress items.
- Items about a specific person also appear on that person's Activity tab in People.
