Public signup links
Create public links that let members and volunteers add themselves to your directory without an account, with optional SMS consent and volunteer sign-up.

A signup link is a public web form anyone can open without a NizamOS account. People who submit it are added to your People directory. Organization Admins and Super Admins manage signup links. They are included in every plan.
Create a signup link#
- Open Organization settings → Signup Links (or choose Signup Links on the People page).
- Choose New signup link.
- Enter a Name and an optional Description (shown on the public page).
- Optional: Pre-assign a division, or leave Let the visitor choose.
- Optional: Pre-assign an organization status, or tick Let the visitor choose their own organization status instead.
- Under Volunteer sign-up, choose how the form handles volunteering (see below).
- Optional: set an Expires date.
- Choose Create link, close the form, and use Copy link to share it.
Volunteer sign-up options#
- Let people choose whether to volunteer — people can submit without becoming a volunteer. Those who choose to volunteer can add their interests, skills and availability.
- Everyone submitting is signing up to volunteer — use this for a volunteer recruitment campaign. Everyone who submits is treated as a volunteer.
What visitors see#
The form asks for basic information (first name, plus an email address or a phone number), the division and status if you let them choose, an optional volunteer section, and notes. Below the phone field there is an optional, unticked SMS consent checkbox: "SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of registration." After submitting, they see "Thank you! Your information has been received."
Manage your links#
Each link shows Active, Inactive or Expired and how many people registered through it. Use Open link, Copy link, Edit, or Deactivate / Activate.
Good to know#
- A deactivated or expired link shows "This link isn't available" to visitors.
- Admins get an in-app alert in the bell when someone completes a signup link, on every plan.
- A ticked SMS consent box is recorded for your organization and that phone number. See SMS consent and opt-out.
- Volunteer details from the form are saved on the person's own record. See Volunteer profiles, skills and availability.
