Fix wrong prayer or Iqamah times on the TV
What to check when the TV clock is wrong, prayer times don't match your timetable, Iqamah times are missing, or an Iqamah change doesn't appear.
On this page
The TV always shows exactly what is saved in NizamOS, so the fix is almost always in Mosque TV, Prayer Setup or Settings → Organization. Start by opening Mosque TV → Prayer Schedule for the date in question: it shows the times the TV will use.
The clock or every time is an hour (or more) off#
- Open Settings → Organization and check the Timezone. It must be where the mosque is.
- If you change it, calculated times are recalculated automatically. Your own timetable keeps the times you entered.
The TV takes its time from NizamOS, not from the TV's own clock setting. See Timezone and daylight saving.
Calculated times don't match your mosque's timetable#
In Prayer Setup, compare the Preview with your timetable and check:
- the Location (city or coordinates);
- the Calculation method and Asr school (Standard or Hanafi);
- under Advanced, the High-latitude rule and any Adhan adjustments.
Save after changing anything. If your mosque's times come from a published timetable rather than a calculation, use your own prayer timetable instead.
Iqamah times are missing#
- With a custom Iqamah schedule, dates that are not in the schedule show no Iqamah. Prayer Setup lists gaps and when the schedule runs out. Add the dates or upload more.
- With your own prayer timetable, a date with no row shows "Prayer schedule not set for today." Import or add that date.
- A warning that the TV has no prayer times from a date usually means an Iqamah rule crosses midnight (often Isha in summer). Use Schedule Iqamah change to set a fixed time for that period, then save.
An Iqamah change isn't showing#
- Make sure you chose Save changes at the bottom of Prayer Setup. Choosing a method or editing a rule does nothing until you save.
- A scheduled change only applies from its start date. Check the date you picked.
- With a custom Iqamah schedule, the rules are not used. Edit the date in the schedule instead.
- Open screens pick up a saved change within about a minute. If a screen still shows old times, check its internet connection.
Sunrise or sunset look wrong#
Sunrise and sunset are calculated from the saved mosque location. Check the location in Prayer Setup (or the Mosque location card for your own timetable).
The Hijri date is a day off#
Adjust it in Settings → Organization → Islamic Calendar. See Set the Hijri date.
