Most screen problems come down to a few causes: Mosque TV is switched off, the screen lost its internet connection, the TV was removed or the code changed, or the TV itself went to sleep. Work through the section that matches what you see.

The screen says "Display unavailable"#

This message looks the same for every cause. Check, in order:

  1. Is Mosque TV turned on? Open Mosque TV → TV Settings and make sure Turn on Mosque TV is ticked, then Save settings.
  2. Was the TV code replaced? If someone chose Get a new code, screens opened with the old code go blank. Enter the new code from TV Settings on that screen.
  3. Was the TV removed? On TV Screens, look under Removed TVs. A removed TV returns to its pairing screen; pair it again.
  4. Was there an outage? The screen keeps retrying on its own and comes back once NizamOS can be reached.

The screen says "Offline · Last synced …"#

The screen can't reach NizamOS but is still showing correct times from its saved copy. Check the TV's Wi‑Fi or network cable, or the mosque's internet. The badge disappears by itself once the connection is back. If it reads Schedule sync overdue, the saved copy has run out and the screen needs the internet to show times again. See Offline use and automatic updates.

TV Screens says "Not connected"#

The paired TV hasn't checked in for more than about 12 minutes. It may be switched off, asleep, on another app, or offline. Go to the TV and check that it is on, connected to the internet, and showing the NizamOS TV app.

The TV turns off or leaves the display at night#

Mosque TV does not switch your TV off, and the display does not restart at midnight. If the screen is off or on the TV's home screen in the morning:

  • Turn off the TV's sleep timer, auto power off, energy saving or standby after no input settings. These are in the TV's own settings menu and their names vary by brand.
  • If the TV restarted (for example after a power cut or a system update), it may start on its home screen. Open the NizamOS TV app or your browser screen again.
  • The NizamOS TV app does not reopen by itself after you press Home, open another app, or the TV goes to standby.

The screen is frozen or the times look stuck#

Check the clock on the screen. If it is moving, the display is running and will pick up changes within about a minute. If nothing changes after you edit something, check the TV's internet connection, then close and reopen the app or reload the browser page.

Still stuck?#

Contact NizamOS support with the TV's name from TV Screens, what the screen shows, and when it started.
