Share a public join link for a program

Each program can have a public join link. Anyone with the link can fill in a short form and become a member of the program, without signing in. Organization Admins and the program's Program Lead can turn it on.

  1. Open Programs and open the program.
  2. On the Overview tab, find Public join link.
  3. Select Enable. A link appears.
  4. Select the copy icon and share the link, for example in a WhatsApp group, a newsletter or a poster.

What visitors see#

The page shows your organization's name, the program's name and its description. Visitors enter:

  • First name (required)
  • Last name
  • Email and Phone — at least one of the two

If your organization offers text messages, there may also be a box to agree to receive them. It is optional.

After they select Join, they see Thank you! If they were already a member, they see You're already a member!

What happens next#

  • The person is added to the program's Members tab.
  • If their email or phone matches someone already in People, NizamOS uses that existing record instead of creating a duplicate. Details already on file are not overwritten.
  • Admins get an in-app notification in the bell about the new join.
  • Select Disable to stop the link from working. Enabling it again brings back the same link.
  • Select the refresh icon (Generate a new link) to replace the link. The old link stops working straight away.

Good to know#

  • The join link adds people to the whole program. To let visitors sign up for a single session, use a session registration link instead.
  • Too many submissions from one connection in a short time are refused for a few minutes, to protect your form from spam.
  • Programs are part of the Core plan and above.

Troubleshooting#

If a visitor sees "This link isn't available", the link was disabled or replaced. See A public link isn't working.
