A Program is a recurring group your organization runs, such as a weekly halaqa, a youth circle or a Qur'an class. Each program has a lead, a list of members and a series of sessions where you take attendance. Organization Admins and Division Leads create programs. The program's Program Lead can manage its members, sessions and attendance.

Your organization may use its own word for programs, such as Halaqas or Circles. An administrator can change the wording in Organization settings → Terminology. This guide uses the default word, Program.

What a program contains#

  • Overview — the meeting day, time, location, division and Program Lead, plus counts of members, upcoming sessions and resources.
  • Members — people from your People directory who belong to the program.
  • Sessions — each meeting of the program. Sessions are listed as Upcoming and Past.
  • Resources — files and links shared with this program.

What you can do with sessions#

Ways people join a program#

  • An admin or the Program Lead adds existing people on the Members tab.
  • People join themselves through the program's Public join link. See Share a public join link.

Where to find it#

In NizamOS, open Programs in the sidebar. Plain members see only the programs they belong to.

Good to know#

  • Programs are part of the NizamOS Core plan and above. On the Free plan the Programs screen shows an upgrade notice.
  • Session times are entered and shown in your organization's timezone, set in Organization settings → Organization. If no timezone is set, times are shown in UTC.
  • One person has one record in People. Being in a program never creates a second record for them.
