Use Prayer Display mode
Set a screen to the Prayer Display, a large five-prayer timetable for the imam side and prayer halls that never shows posters.
On this page
The Prayer Display is a second layout for Mosque TV. Instead of rotating through posters, it always shows a large five-prayer Adhan and Iqamah timetable with a live clock and the next Iqamah. It suits screens near the imam or inside the prayer halls. Organization Admins and Super Admins choose it per screen.
Switch a paired TV to the Prayer Display#
- Open Mosque TV → TV Screens.
- Choose Configure beside the TV.
- Under What this TV shows, choose Prayer Display.
- Under Show on this screen, tick what you want: Mosque logo, Mosque name, Hijri date, Gregorian date, Sunrise and sunset, Next Iqamah countdown, Jumu'ah times and Announcement ticker.
- Check the Preview, which uses today's real prayer times, then choose Save.
The TV switches within a minute, with no need to pair it again. All switches are on by default except the ticker.
Use the Prayer Display in a web browser#
A screen without the NizamOS TV app can show the Prayer Display too. On Mosque TV → TV Screens, under Browser screens, copy the Prayer Display link and open it in the TV's browser. Browser screens always use the organization theme.
What it shows#
- Left side: the five prayers with their Adhan and Iqamah times.
- Right side: the dates, a large clock, the next Iqamah, Jumu'ah times and sunrise and sunset, depending on your choices.
- As the Iqamah gets close, the next prayer is highlighted and the countdown ticks down in minutes and seconds. At Iqamah time it shows IQAMAH NOW. The timetable is never hidden.
Good to know#
- The Prayer Display never shows posters or announcement slides, even if a slide is set to show on that TV.
- It uses the same prayer times, Jumu'ah times and timing settings as every other screen.
- Turning off a switch hides that part on this screen only.
- To go back, choose Configure and pick Main Mosque TV. Your Prayer Display choices are kept for next time.
- On Fridays there is no countdown to Dhuhr or Jumu'ah. See Jumu'ah times and Friday behaviour.
