Manage multiple TV screens
Rename, configure and remove paired TVs, give each screen its own layout and theme, and show posters on chosen screens only.
On this page
A mosque can have several screens: one at the entrance, one by the imam, one in the sisters' area. Every screen shows the same prayer times, but each paired TV can have its own layout, its own theme and its own set of posters. Organization Admins and Super Admins manage this on Mosque TV → TV Screens.
Rename a TV#
- Open Mosque TV → TV Screens.
- Choose Rename beside the TV's name, type the new name and choose Save.
Renaming never re-pairs the TV and never changes which posters it shows.
Choose what a TV shows#
- Choose Configure beside the TV.
- Under What this TV shows, pick Main Mosque TV (prayer board, posters, announcements and ticker, for entrances and lobbies) or Prayer Display (a large five-prayer timetable for the imam side and prayer halls).
- Under Theme, keep Organization theme to follow the theme in TV Settings, or pick a theme just for this TV.
- For the Prayer Display, tick what to show under Show on this screen.
- Check the live Preview, then choose Save. The TV switches within a minute.
Show a poster on some screens only#
When you add or edit an announcement or poster, use Display on:
- All screens: every TV, including TVs you pair later.
- Selected screens: only the TVs you tick.
Each slide in the list says where it shows. A slide whose chosen TVs were all removed says "Not showing on any screen — choose screens in Edit".
Remove a TV#
Choose Remove, then Remove this TV. The TV stops showing your display within a minute and returns to its pairing screen. Removed TVs are listed under Removed TVs at the bottom.
Good to know#
- Status: Online means the TV checked in recently. Not connected means it has not checked in for more than about 12 minutes. Waiting for first check-in means it was paired but has not reported yet.
- Each row also shows when the TV was last seen, when it was paired, and the TV model and app version when known.
- A Prayer Display never shows posters or announcement slides, even if a poster is set to show on it.
- Screens opened in a web browser (with your TV code or link) are not paired TVs. They always use the organization theme and show only All screens slides. The Browser screens section gives you a Main Mosque TV link and a Prayer Display link for them.
- Prayer times, Jumu'ah, the ticker messages and timing settings are shared by all screens.
