Online Madrasa fee payments

Parents can pay Madrasa fees online from the Fees page of the Parent Portal. The payment goes through your organization's payment provider, chosen in Organization settings → Payments. NizamOS stays the record of what each family owes. Organization Admins set this up.

With Zeffy#

1. Connect Zeffy and choose it as your provider. See Set up Zeffy payments.
2. Create a fee form in Zeffy.
3. In Organization settings → Payments → Zeffy forms / campaigns, assign that form to Madrasa Fees and paste its public link. See Assign Zeffy forms and campaigns.
4. Parents now see a Pay with Zeffy button on their Fees page.

When Zeffy confirms a payment, NizamOS records it once and applies it to the family's oldest unpaid fee.

Matching Zeffy payments to a family#

In Madrasa settings → Online Payments, keep Match a family's first payment by email ticked. If exactly one family matches the payer's email, NizamOS remembers that payer, so later payments are matched automatically. Ask parents to pay with the email address the Madrasa has on file.

The Payment sync box shows how many payments were Synced, how many Needs match, and any Errors. A daily check also adds missing monthly charges and then applies payments that arrived early.

With Stripe#

1. Connect Stripe and choose it as your provider. See Connect your Stripe account.
2. Parents see Pay with Stripe next to each family balance that is more than zero. It pays that family's outstanding balance through Stripe checkout.

The payment goes to your connected Stripe account and is applied to the family's oldest outstanding fee automatically.

Check the status#

Open Madrasa settings → Online Payments. It shows whether online payment is On, which provider it uses, and what still needs doing. Fee plans and charges keep working in NizamOS even when online payment is off.

Good to know#

• Parents can still pay by cash, cheque or e-transfer. Record those with Record Payment. See Madrasa monthly fees and payments.
• If Stripe needs more details, parents see that online payment with Stripe isn't ready yet.
• Online payments are part of the Core plan and above.
