Choose your payment provider (Stripe or Zeffy)

Your organization chooses one payment provider, Stripe or Zeffy, in Organization settings → Payments. Every part of NizamOS that takes payments uses that one choice. Modules never have a provider setting of their own. Only Organization Admins and Super Admins can open this page. Online payments are part of the NizamOS Core plan and above.

What uses your payment provider#

• Paid session registrations in Programs. See Take payment for a session registration.
• Madrasa fees paid by parents in the Parent Portal. See Online Madrasa fee payments.

Facility rental payments are not collected online yet. A facility's price is recorded, and payment is arranged directly with the requester.

Stripe or Zeffy?#

• Stripe takes card payments through your organization's own Stripe account. Money goes straight to your Stripe balance. See Connect your Stripe account.
• Zeffy is a payment platform for nonprofits with no platform or transaction fees. People pay on your Zeffy forms, and NizamOS checks every payment with Zeffy before recording it. See Set up Zeffy payments.

Choose a provider#

1. In NizamOS, open Organization settings, then Payments.
2. Connect Stripe or set up Zeffy on its card.
3. When the card is ready, select Use Stripe for payments or Use Zeffy for payments.

The provider in use shows an In use badge, and the top of the page says it is set up for organization-wide payment collection.

Switch or turn off#

• To switch, select Use (the other provider) for payments and confirm. Paid registrations go through the new provider from then on.
• To stop all online payments, select Turn off online payments on the provider in use. Paid registration links stop taking payments until you choose a provider again. Nothing is deleted.

Good to know#

• A provider can be chosen only when it is ready: Stripe must be connected in Test or Live mode, and Zeffy must be connected and tested.
• These settings apply to your organization only.
• The same Payments screen also appears as a step in the organization setup wizard.
• In the Zeffy forms list, Event Ticketing, Membership and Facility Booking are shown as coming soon. They are not available yet.
