Connect your Stripe account

NizamOS takes card payments through your organization's own Stripe account. You connect it with Stripe Connect: you sign in on Stripe's own site, and NizamOS never sees your Stripe password or secret keys. Payments go straight to your Stripe balance. Only Organization Admins and Super Admins can connect Stripe.

Connect Stripe#

1. In NizamOS, open Organization settings → Payments.
2. On the Stripe card, select Connect Stripe.
3. Sign in to Stripe, or create an account, and approve the connection.
4. You return to NizamOS and see Stripe is connected.
5. When the badge shows Connected — Test mode or Connected — Live, select Use Stripe for payments.

What the badges mean#

• Not connected — no Stripe account is linked yet.
• Connected — Live — ready to take real payments.
• Connected — Test mode — a sandbox connection. No real money moves.
• Connected — Under review — Stripe is reviewing your account. You can take payments once Stripe approves it.
• Connected — Action required — Stripe needs more details. Select Finish in Stripe.
• Couldn't verify with Stripe — NizamOS couldn't reach Stripe just now. Try again shortly.

Select View in Stripe to open your account in Stripe.

Disconnect Stripe#

Select Disconnect Stripe on the Stripe card. If Stripe is your payment provider, you are asked to confirm, because online payments turn off until you choose a provider again.

Good to know#

• Stripe is used for paid session registrations and for Madrasa fees in the Parent Portal.
• NizamOS has no refund button. Payouts and refunds are managed in your own Stripe account.
• If the Stripe card says Stripe isn't available on this server yet, connecting isn't possible right now. Contact NizamOS support.
• If you return with Stripe connection was cancelled -- nothing changed, you stopped on the Stripe page. Select Connect Stripe again.
• Online payments are part of the Core plan and above.
