Iqamah rules and custom Iqamah schedule
Choose how Iqamah is set with calculated prayer times, with fixed times or minutes after Adhan, scheduled changes, or an uploaded Iqamah schedule.
When NizamOS calculates your Adhan times, you choose how the Iqamah is set in step 4 of Prayer Setup, Iqamah Times. There are two methods, and only one is used at a time; the other is kept for if you switch back. Organization Admins and Super Admins manage this.
Rule-based Iqamah#
Choose Use rule-based Iqamah. For each prayer, pick:
- After adhan: a number of minutes after the Adhan, from 0 to 180 (0 means at the Adhan).
- Fixed time: the same clock time every day.
Schedule a future change
To change a prayer's Iqamah from a certain date (for example, a fixed Isha time for summer), choose Schedule a future Iqamah change under that prayer, pick the start date, choose Add scheduled change, and set the new rule. A change stays in effect until the next change.
Schedule Calculation Period
Schedule Calculation Period sets how far ahead Iqamah times are calculated and checked: 1 Month — 30 days, 3 Months — 90 days, 6 Months — 180 days or 1 Year — 365 days. NizamOS keeps that period filled every day.
Choose Save changes at the bottom of Prayer Setup when you are done.
Custom Iqamah schedule#
Choose Use custom Iqamah schedule if your mosque decides Iqamah date by date. Adhan is still calculated automatically. Only dates in your schedule have an Iqamah.
- Upload a schedule: download the CSV or Excel template, fill in one row per date with the columns Date, Fajr Iqamah, Dhuhr Iqamah, Asr Iqamah, Maghrib Iqamah and Isha Iqamah, then upload it. Dates use
YYYY-MM-DDand times useHH:mm. You see every row before anything is saved. - Add a date or use the pencil to edit a single date; the bin removes one.
- When an upload would overwrite dates you edited by hand, choose Keep manual edits or Replace with uploaded values.
You can add and edit dates here once calculated prayer times have been saved. Switching to a custom schedule that has no times for today asks you to confirm, because the TV would show no Iqamah until you add dates.
Good to know#
- A date that is missing from the custom Iqamah schedule shows no Iqamah on the TV, and there is no Iqamah countdown for it. Prayer Setup and the Mosque TV page warn about gaps and about the schedule running out.
- The TV keeps the next 30 days for use without internet, so keep at least that far ahead covered.
- Iqamah after midnight: if a rule pushes an Iqamah (usually Isha in summer) past midnight, NizamOS publishes times only up to the day before and shows a warning with a Schedule Iqamah change button. If that happens less than 30 days from today, you must set a fixed time for that period before you can save.
- Iqamah changes can be announced on the TV automatically. See Use the bottom ticker.
