Any screen with a web browser can show Mosque TV, with no app and no pairing. You open your mosque's short TV code, and the display fills the screen. Organization Admins and Super Admins find the code in NizamOS.

Find your TV code#

  1. In NizamOS, open Mosque TV → TV Settings.
  2. Under TV code, you see a 6-character code, the short address, a Copy Link button, an Open button and a QR code.

Make sure Turn on Mosque TV is ticked under Display settings, or the code opens nothing.

Open it on the TV#

  1. On the TV, streaming stick or computer, open the web browser.
  2. Go to https://tv.nizamos.ca (or the exact short address shown under TV code).
  3. On the Enter TV Code page, type the 6 characters with the remote and choose Open TV.
  4. Put the browser into full-screen mode if it has one.

You can also type the full short address with the code at the end, or scan the QR code with a phone to open the same address there.

Tips for typing the code#

  • Letters and numbers only. Capitals, spaces and dashes don't matter.
  • TV codes never use 0, 1, I, L or O, so there is no confusion between similar characters.
  • If you see "TV code not found", check the code in Mosque TV → TV Settings and make sure the display is turned on.

Show the Prayer Display in a browser#

On Mosque TV → TV Screens, the Browser screens section has a Main Mosque TV link and a Prayer Display link. Open the Prayer Display link on screens near the imam or in the prayer halls.

Get a new code#

On TV Settings, choose Get a new code, then Replace code. The old code stops working right away, and any screen opened with it goes blank within a minute until you enter the new code. The Full TV link and TVs paired through the NizamOS TV app keep working.

Good to know#

  • The Full TV link on TV Settings is the original long address. It always keeps working; the TV code is just easier to type.
  • Browser screens always use the organization theme and show only posters set to All screens.
  • Once a browser has loaded the display while online, it keeps a copy so it can carry on through a short internet outage.
  • Anyone with your code or link can view your display, which only shows public information such as prayer times and your slides.
